Excellerate Smart Manufacturing Facility On Track for Fall 2023 Opening

Last fall, we were excited to announce the groundbreaking of our new Excellerate facility in Little Chute, Wisconsin. This 385,000-square-foot smart manufacturing facility will focus on our work in the renewable energy space, supporting increased electrification across the country with energy solutions including microgrids.

Those driving past the site have surely noticed the large structure taking shape. Work crews from FTI and our project partners, The Boldt Company, McMahon and Tweet/Garot Mechanical Inc., have been active throughout the recent winter months. As warmer weather nears, continued external progress will be taking place, including exterior building panels, landscaping, electric vehicle (EV) charging and rooftop solar. Once the building is fully enclosed, work will begin inside.

Hiring efforts are already in progress to fill the anticipated 200 new jobs the facility will create. Excellerate is looking for general assemblers, electricians, and various operational roles. Interested persons can see available positions on our careers website.

Excellerate Little Chute is designed to be powered completely by renewable energy. Distributed energy microgrids will be powered by ground and rooftop solar panels with energy storage options. Plans are for the facility to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in the future.

Stay tuned for further updates on Excellerate’s newest smart manufacturing facility!
