A Mobile Microgrid is a local on-site energy grid similar to a traditional Microgrid, the biggest difference being that it can be moved to where it is most needed. It is powered by solar, batteries and a fuel cell engine. The unit is prebuilt in a container and can be set up and functioning within days of arriving on site. The mobile unit can become a permanent energy production and management solution for a facility or it can be moved from location to location to serve emergency energy needs. As with the standard Microgrid this unit can be used to reduce operational expense through energy peak shaving and it can also improve energy resiliency.
